Four Month Checkups

November 12, 2015 by Michael Young in Doctor's Appointments

Carter had three doctor's appointments this week, and I think he enjoyed only one of them. Then again, what kid would enjoy any appointment that involves needles or rectum checks? It wasn't all for nothing. The GI appointment led to mommy being allowed to  slowly introduce nuts, eggs, and gluten back into her diet - one at a time over the next two weeks. Carter also completed his vaccine shots for his 4-month checkup - even mommy and daddy got shots, too (for the flu). As always, he was a joy for the doctors to exam, giving minimal fuss, and maximum smiles. Carter even got to go on a lunch date at The Cleveland Museum of art with mommy and daddy between his two appointments on Tuesday. Maybe we'll actually get to see the art next time.

Everything is looking good so far; well, it's looking good if you excuse the sleepless nights and fussiness that came with getting three shots to his little legs. However, those shots did lead to some awesome Bugs Bunny Band-Aids. And yes, mommy and daddy got Bugs Bunny Band-Aids, too. He'll even be allowed to start introducing rice into his diet! How cool is that?
